Current activities

I am currently employed as a numerical relativist at the Department of Mathematics and Statistics in the University of Otago. Previously I was enrolled as a PhD candidate in the Department of Quantum Science at the Australian National University.

I usually have several projects on the go at once. My main focus is on:

  • Numerical implementation of the asymptotic conformal Einstein equations and the study of the behaviour of the solutions,
  • Studying how the Abstract Boundary classification changes under changes to the class of boundary parameter property satisfying curves,
  • Investigating functional definitions of Lorentzian distance.

The following projects are waiting for some free time:

  • Production of a counter example to a conjecture about the structure of the set of limit points of a curve with compact closure,
  • Investigation of the functorial properties of the Abstract Boundary construction for any topological spacetime,
  • Understanding the relationship between the Penrose-Hawking singularity theorems, the Krolak and Tipler strong curvature conditions and weak cosmic censorship.
